Agent Emi 3

1. What got you into cosplay?
I went to Otakon 2000 on a whim and saw everyone dressed up. Having never grown out of playing dress up, I was amazed that it wasn't even Halloween and it seemed to be ok with everyone! Must...try....

2. How do you choose who you will cosplay?
Usually it's based off whatever Lizzy is cosplaying. I like sidekicks.

3. How has cosplay affected your life?
It's taken my money, my time, some of my blood... but I've made great friends, learned some patience, and learned that it's ok to step down sometimes. Oddly enough, I learned a lot about myself and my stress management (I procrastinate way too much, but when the rest of the group is counting on you...)

4. What keeps you busy outside of conventions?
My job, a lot. I'm a photographer and I love it. Also, my new favorite hobbies are working on my house and making jewelry. And building a baby!

5. Do you see yourself continuing to cosplay 5 years or 10 years from now?
I honestly don't know. I know that if the answer is no, I won't lose the friendships I've made. My time has become awfully divided and my priorities are shifting. Does that mean I'm done forever? Probably not. But it might not be as often as it was.

6. What is your dream costume?
It's a secret. >_> It's changed over the past 2 or so years.

7. What is your favorite costume you've done and why?
That's a tough one! Probably the wallscroll Yui. I loved all the draping fabric and the beading on it.

8. Is there any advise you can give for our visitors?
Cosplay is a hobby, nothing more. We're all geeks and no one is better than anyone else, especially when it comes to dressing up like cartoon characters. Everyone has to start somewhere, we're just at different points along the same path.

9. What is the hardest part about cosplaying?
Personally, it's getting the time needed to do a GOOD job on a costume. I also have a hard time with the Big Picture and starting out. Detailing, however, is my favorite.

10. Who would win in a battle to the death? The King (Burger King) or Ronald McDonald? Why?
Does Ronald even come out anymore? I think the King already killed him.
