Why did you choose the name "The Agents of Cosplay"? |
| Well, started at Anime Mid-Atlantic 2003 during a game of Walkie Talkie Tag. To make it fun, we used "agent" names. Whatever costume we were wearing at the time is was the "agent" name came to be. ie- Tora was in Inuyasha, hence Agent IY. The names stuck throught the con and continued through many outings and other cons. Since then, people who have become Agents have chosen the abbreviation or word they would like to have. As for the rest of the name... ummm... we cosplay? :) |
| How did everyone meet? |
| This question spans a lot. O.o Most of us met through cosplay.com for the first NE Cosplayers' Picnic. The group grew by associations. Agent Emi 5 had a bunch of friends, Agent IY had a bunch of friends, and so on. It's like the Brady Bunch. (That was the short short version.) |
| Where is everyone from? |
| Most of the Agents are based in Baltimore, MD. However, there are Agents in DE, VA, CT, and NJ. |
| How do you guys stay together? |
| Space. Lots of space. J/K! If there is ever a problem, we get right down to it and discuss the issue. We're friends first, then cosplayers. All of us are very close and tend to see each other every weekend for Halo night. Got issues? Shoot them in Halo! ^^;;; I kid. |
| Are you competitive? |
| ::laughs:: As strange as this sounds.... NO! We enter contests to pass the time, believe it or not. If we win something woo-hoo! If we don't... Woo-hoo!! It's all about having fun. We've seen a lot of people get obsessed over winning. That just seems to take all the "good times" away... and none of us want that. When we do skits, it's to give the audience something to watch and enjoy. Winning isn't everything.... Being with friends is!!! ::sounds so dorky, but it's totally true:: |

| How does one become an "Agent"? |
| To be honest, it's basically a group of people that hang out A LOT in and out of cons. ^^;;; There are no "applications." No "Tests." No nothing. |
| Do you always do "group" cosplays? |
| Nope! Not everyone likes the same thing or has am urdge to cosplay from certain Anime/Games. Every con there are quite a number of us that do our own thing. It's sort of a relief so to speak to not worry about where the group is and/or going. You can just walk around and do your own thing. |
| What is the age range of the Agents? |
| The youngest is about 2 years old and the oldest is 28. |
| What is the Agents' fave con? |
| Most of us love Anime Mid-Atlantic. It's been dubbed "agent con" since a lot of us go and that's the con that started it all. |
| How do you spell Stu's name correctly? |
| 5 u's is the minimum. Stuuuuu. It may be elongated to Stuuuuuuuuuuuu...uuuu |
